The nursing home fee calculated for inpatient care is made up of five partial amounts:

• the facility-specific care-related co-payment

• the fee for accommodation
• the fee for meals
• the investment costs
• the apportionment amount in accordance with the Nursing Professions Act.

The residents are entitled to benefits from the nursing care insurance. The prerequisite is an established need for care. The classification into a care degree is based on the determination of the medical service of the respective care insurance.

Based on the agreements with the cost bearers, the currently valid fees of the GFO Center Drolshagen - Wohnen & Pflege St. Gerhardus:

If residents are unable to cover their own monthly contribution through their current income (e.g. pensions, rental income and interest income) or their assets, they can apply for a care allowance. The prerequisites for this are

• the need for care is at least care level 2,
• the existing assets do not exceed the asset limit of €10,000 (single persons) or €15,000 (married couples).

If the remaining personal contribution per month cannot be covered by current income plus the nursing home allowance, there may be a claim for "uncovered nursing home costs", which can be applied for via the social welfare office. One of the prerequisites for this is that existing assets do not exceed €10,000 (€20,000 for married couples). A house or property owned by the resident is included in the assets.
